Round shape iron tsuba with openwork of pine needle motif.
Large openwork, angular rim with a little roundness, two openings for scabbard accessories.
The condition is good.
Owari tsuba were named for their provenience. Considered from many the best sukashi tsuba, Owari tsuba usually have a symmetrical design and were forged using tekkotsu. These tsuba were designed in the first Muromachi period and their production was interrupted in the first Edo period.
