The term Ko-Katchūshi indicates a classification for early iron tsuba.
Dated not earlier than at the very end of the Kamakura/beginning of the Nanbokuchō period, Ko-Katchūshi tsuba were usually mounted on uchigatana, ō-dachi, nodachi, nagamaki or naginata of lower-ranking warriors and common soldiers.
