Description

On round iron tsuba, fan and cherry blossom are engraved dynamically. The fine engraved design of the fan is beautiful. Kamiyoshi is the family name of Higo metalworkers.

Kamiyoshi family 神吉 worked in Kumamoto (Higo province) and Edo between 1800 and 1900. The genealogy of this family is: Masatada 正忠 (also Juhei 寿平), Kamiyoshi Fukanobu 深信 (also Juhei 寿平), Masayasu 正康 (also Rakuju樂寿) and Masatoshi 正敏/政敏 (also Chūhachi 中八).
