Here we have a nice Kakejiku rapresenting a portrait of Lord Shingen and his generals.
Takeda Shingen with his Four Brave Veteran Generals.
The painting is attibuted to Kanō Tanshin (狩野探信) – First name Morimichi (守道).
First son of [Kanō] Tanboku Morikuni
(探牧守邦). Used the pen names Tanshin (探信) and Kōsai (興斎).
He was employed by the bakufu, received the Buddhist rank of a Hōgen, and succeeded as seventh generation of the Kajiyabashi-Kanō (鍛冶橋狩野) lineage.
As the second generation of that lineage (Morimasa, 守政) used the pen name Tanshin as well, he is usually referred to as “Morimichi-Tanshin.” He died in the ninth month of Tenpō six (1835) at the age of 51.
